Kind of a forum, really, instead of a blog, eh? And considering she didn’t want to “talk about her opponents” on the radio on Friday, she doesn’t seem to have much else to say other than stuff about her opponent on this site! Hmm…

Yes, Tom, the formula is similar. Unfortunately, in these parts, it often works.

All, we’ll get the TruthWatch blog going again to factcheck statements made by candidates.
We intend to start “truthwatching” all the candidate interviews we do, as well as statements we hear in the press. We’ll need everyone’s help, of course.

LW, I’m afraid it’s not limited to these part, judging by the two-term incumbent president we’ve got. In some ways it’s a miracle to me that the democratic experiment is still alive. Well, it hasn’t always been, I guess. Maybe hasn’t even usually been, and may still not be, considering race and income based voting disparities.
Something tells me Peterson will pull through. I can’t imagine her getting less than 51% of the vote in Hinds County as an incumbent, and if she doesn’t, it won’t be because of anything Purvis or Smith did. It’ll be because of Frank Melton. Shades of the Hillary Clinton 2000 campaign in which Giuliani was the unspoken opponent, even though his name wasn’t on the ballot.
Cheers,
TH
